Moist Caramel Apple Cake recipe
Inspired by a childhood favorite, this recipe reinvents the caramel apple as a cake, with fresh, tangy chopped apples baked into a treat that’s a whole lot easier to eat.

It was very easy to make and very moist. I was very disappointed that there wasn't much flavor. I was thinking that there would be a strong apple flavor or even caramel, but there wasn't at all. Also, it took much longer than 10 minutes to thicken the melted caramel.

I had no trouble getting it out of the pan. Very easy to make, but I agree that it lacked the apple taste I was craving. Maybe if the apples were cut into smaller pieces so you get a piece with every bite it would be better. Very moist and I would definately make this cake again, but would try to put in an apple flavoring to add to the taste. I melted the caramels on the stove in a small saucepan and it worked out very well. I thought it would be easier than melting in microwave.

This was probably one of the best cakes I've ever made! I will definately be making it again. Thanks for putting such a great recipe in the Food & Family magazine!

Everyone loved this cake. Easy to make. It's "comfort" cake. I find it goes great with cofee and tea.

I baked this cake and it was wounderful. I put the carmel all over the cake. I had no problem melting the carmels. would be nice for Thanksgiving or Christmas. I will make this again.

I have made this cake twice in two days my hungry pack of Recue Squad guys and girls really loved this cake. One of the most moist and likable cakes that I have made in a long time. Very easy!

The recipe was easy to make. I was a little disappointed in the taste. Could not actually taste the apples in the cake. I used caramel ice cream topping instead of the caramel candy.

I took this to work for our morning coffee break. It was such a big hit I had to bake a second one for the rest of our group who missed out that morning. It was so easy to make and looked almost to good to eat. I will make this again , again.

My cake was moist and I had no problem's getting it out of the pan .I was dissappointed with the taste however I thought it was going to have a more applely taste then it did.The apples were soft but they didn't have much taste once they were cooked and it took forever to get the carmels melted to a creamy consistancy. My husband seemed to enjoy it but I think he would rather have his Jewish apple cake though.
