This is a great recipe, but I did make some changes. I used whole wheat pasta, turkey Italian sausage (sweet), and "no salt added diced tomatoes. The tomatoes were not seasoned so I added garlic, basil, and oregano. The result was a very healthy version of this dish.

This recipe was so quick & easy and the best part was my 4 year old and 8 year old loved it! My 4 year old has asked me to make it again every day since. I used the sweet turkey italian sausage - it was delicious! It's on the menu again for this week.

My Italian husband wasn't too sure about this when I told him what I was making for dinner. Lo and behold, he had seconds, and then went back for a third helping! After that, he asked when I plan to make this again! My husband says this is real comfort food- I'm going to surprise him and make this again of the weekend.

Everyone in my family loved this, even my pickiest one! My husband, who used to date Italians, was not sure until he tried it. He couldn't believe it was so simple!
