I've made it as is and it's very good and simple to make. However my fam loves it veggied it up with corn and squash and zucs from the garden - also we often nix the mozzarella & parm and sub in about 2tbs of philly cream cheese and about 1/4 c of chicken stock. Also great switching it up with a diced turkey kielbasa link and a few drops of liquid smoke.

I made this recipe last night...WOW! I made some substitutions, I used Smoked Sausage and Ro-Tel Diced Tomatoes with Green Chiles. It was fabulous! This recipe will be my new go to for Smoked Sausage with a little kick

This is a wonderful dish!!! I did add about 2TBS of velveeta cheese to make it more creamy. I used a different brand of Mozz. cheese because it's what I had on hand, and it was very stringy but it did not take away from the flavor. The next time I make it, and there will be a next time, I will use Kraft Mozz. cheese. Great Dish!!!

Just finished eating this for dinner, and WOW! I'm as impressed with the flavor as I am with the ease of making it and it's beautiful presentation. Followed recipe exactly, to rate it properly, and it's great as-is. I will only tweak it slightly for my family's preferences. I would be proud to serve this to guests without changing a thing.

Excellent ~ instead of canned diced tomato - I used small plum tomatoes, cut them up in quarters placed in saucepan w/some EVOO/spices/and starchie water from pasta. Also used turkey sausage. Delicious - WILL make again!!

Mozarella cheese gets a little gooey when melted, but overall a good, easy recipe!
