I used zesty Itallian free dressing, omited the water but didn't add the pasta. I also used beef broth instead of vegetable and added 1 cup cooked ground beef. I really liked it but thought it sounded a bit bland the way it was. After tasting my version I won't make it exactly the way it is written- I think it would be bland. The only other thing I may add next time is a small clove of garlic.
Great dish on cold day:) I would use crushed tomatoes over diced but it's all about personal choices. I would make it again:) Great Flavor and gets better when you reheat it.
I made this for a birthday party and the guests loved it. I will make it again as it was easy and cooked well in the slow cooker.
I haven't made it yet, but I plan to make it for my Christmas Eve dinner, since I'm going Italian this year. It sounds VERY easy and yet VERY good.
I added meat. With as little seasoning that is in there I still liked the taste of the soup.
