Slow-Cooker Saucy Swiss Steak

Slow-Cooker Saucy Swiss Steak recipe
Throw together the fixin's in the morning and enjoy a steak-and-peppers main simmering in a tomato-based sauce for dinner. Melty Swiss cheese is the clincher.

I made a few revisions to this recipe. Instead of regular tomato paste I added Italian Paste. I didn't have a green pepper so I added a bag of Steam'ables Spring Vegetables with Asparagus seasoned with ground peppercorn. It was a perfect blend of meat and sauce with the added benefit of a serving of vegetables. I will definitely make this recipe again. I also served with mashed potatoes.

I made this recipe today. I followed the directions to start, at the end of the cooking time, I added 3/4 cup water, a cup of dry minute rice and cooked the rice in the sauce, then added a can of corn so it was a one-pot wonder. It was a bit too tangy for me so next time I will add a bit of sugar.

Very yummy recipe served with mashed potatoes! I made it twice. I add 6oz tomato paste to make it thicker and i also add an onion and pepper for extra flavor.

Very Bland. Tasted more like an Italian dish than Swiss Steak.
