I give this recipe 5 stars plus more!! it was delicious! I did everything the directions said and my husband and I LOVED it! I did read that a few people were having problems with the dumplings sticking together.... i had the same problem... all i did was ditch the measuring spoons and formed the dumplings into a ball with my hand :) We will be making this again!!!

My family all enjoyed this recipe,my dumplings fell apart also . So the second time around we bought buttermilk biscuits and added them at the end just the same as the recipe says to do ,then it was Superb!

Very easy using my slow cooker was great, I also like low-sodium recipes.

It was way too bland and the dumplings fell apart. If stuffing isn't your thing, then I wouldn't recommend making this one. We threw most of it away.

This recipe is fantastic! I did form the stuffing into balls before putting them into the stew. They stayed together perfectly! Another thing I did was to mix 1/4 cup cornstarch with 6 Tbs milk, to form a thickening agent.I poured it in the last 30 min, before I added the dumplings. I'll be making this many more times!

I am NOT a picky eater by any means but this was terrible. it turned out to be a sloppy runny mess and the dumplings didn't hold together at all. We took one bite and threw the whole thing away. Ended up eating an egg sandwich instead. Def. going to delete from my recipe box.

Great recipe. We thought it more as a soup than what we thought of as Chicken & Dumplings. We accidentally added the entire tub of sour cream & chive spread, and thought it was great.

This was a great meal the only problem I had was the dumplings. I even formed them into balls to put in but they still fell apart. So I think the next time I make them I just might go with Bisquick type dumplings or even just cut some potatoes up and make the soup that way. The soup was very tasty, my husband and I enjoyed it.

I also formed the stuffing into meatball shapes to keep them from falling apart in the cooker. Excellent recipe!

I know you're really not supposed to take the lid of the crockpot, but since this was the first time I made this, I did ~ and I'm gald I did ~ because I had time to add some seasoning! This would have been extremely bland otherwise. I felt the need to add some salt and ground thyme. It was okay after that. The chicken literally fell apart after about 7 hours of cooking (a good thing). I thought this was very runny and needed to be thickened up quite a bit. It was quite watery. If there is a next time, I would add some flour or corn starch towards the end to thicken it up. That being said, I'd probably skip this recipe.
