Putting this basic classic recipe on a toasted roll really gave it a whole new twist! I love it with the HB Egg too! Thanks for reminding us of the oldies but goodies!

I was in such a hurry to make this sandwich that I forgot to toast the bread, lol. It was still very good. I just want to say to the people out there that think we don't need a recipe for BLT, think again. Anyone that has commented on this recipe has given us a whole new way to eat a BLT by adding their ideas and giving us new sandwiches...the possibilities are endless.

I tried the rolls, but I have to go back to toast. And like the very first person, I, too, always put the bacon on the bottom! I also always add a sliced hard boiled egg. DH likes his double decker fashion; bacon and tomato on the bottom, egg and lettuce on top. Yummy and one of our favorites, though a pain to make when all 5 kids lived here and wanted 2 sandwiches each!

Love BLT's! Am I the only one who makes them completely opposite from the picture? Bacon on the bottom, lettuce in the middle and tomato on top!

How can you not like a classic BLT? As long as the bacon is crisp, as is the lettuce, juicy Jersey tomatoes, it can't fail!!
