My family really liked this recipe and we definitely wouln't call it bland. I only made one change. I didn't have any Cheez Whiz (not even really sure what that is), so I used a package of Velveeta cheese from a box of Velveeta Shells & Cheese that I had in the pantry. I'll just use the shell macaroni in another dish. We thought it was great!

I took the advice previously posted - used 1 cup of milk, left out the cheez whiz and added tons of extra cheese. I also added a bit of garlic powder. This was still prettty bland, but it was a relatively healthy meal and it used a good combination of stuff on hand.

I made it with Broccoli instead of peas and carrots. It needs more spices like garlic or something. It was too bland.

I made this tonight. Next time I will use a lot less milk (I had to drain it from the pot. 1/2 cup would probably be enough!) and add more cheese and jazz it up with some spices. It's plain but kid friendly-at least in my house.

I had high hopes for this recipe but it was awful and bland. My children took one bite, spit it out and refused to touch it.

This was very good, quick & easy! What more can you ask for? I will certainly make this again

I made this using ground turkey, low fat cheddar cheese (no cheez whiz) just put more low fat cheddar, same amount of milk and added some bacon on top for garnish. I brought this to our church potluck and it was GONE!!! Many people asked me for the recipe! :) I would definitely make it again :)
