Chicken-Parmesan Pasta Toss

What You Need

1/2

lb. fettuccine, uncooked

Tbsp. oil

lb. boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips

Tbsp. tomato paste

1/4

tsp. garlic powder

can (14-1/2 oz.) diced tomatoes, undrained

1/2

cup water

1/4

cup KRAFT Zesty Italian Dressing

1/4

cup KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese

Make It

COOK pasta as directed on package, omitting salt.

MEANWHILE, heat oil in large nonstick skillet on medium heat. Add chicken; cook and stir 8 min. or until done. Stir in tomato paste and garlic powder; cook and stir on medium-high heat 1 min. Add tomatoes, water and dressing; cook 2 min., stirring occasionally.

DRAIN pasta; place in large bowl. Add sauce; toss to coat. Sprinkle with cheese.

Variation

Omit garlic powder. Prepare recipe as directed, adding 2 minced garlic cloves to hot oil in skillet along with the chicken, and substituting KRAFT Sun Dried Tomato Vinaigrette Dressing for the Italian dressing.

Substitute

Prepare using spaghetti or any other pasta.

Absolutely love it! The dressing adds an extra tang that I don't get with a regular pasta sauce. I use whatever noodles that I have and have made it several times with different sausages too. Even my kids like it!

Very good! Peppers needed to be cooked about two minutes longer. I will absolutely make this again!

This was so good. The only thing I changed was I added more tomato paste because of personal preference. I will definitely make this again and again.

I've made this recipe 3 times already. I love it. The only thing that I do differently is instead of using the Sun-dried Tomato dressing I use the Roasted Red Pepper Italian dressing. The first tiem I made it I couldn't find te Sun-dried Tomato dressing and did a substitute. If you think that it's to acidic this little change may help.
