I love this recipe. It's very low prep, but absolutely delicious. After slicing the potatoes into wedges, I combine the egg, salt and cheese in a large ziploc bag, add the potatoes and shake it to coat. Works great and I don't have another dish to clean!
I have made this recipe several times and it has always received rave reviews. I use two pounds of pork, so I start the pork and then add the potatoes after about 15 minutes. Also, I have found that in order to get the dressing to "glaze" try thickening it a little, either by chilling it a bit or adding a little cornstarch. It doesn't take much, doesn't seem to affect the flavor, but definitely helps it stick a little better. Also, I add salt and pepper to the pork loin before it goes into the oven. I cube the potatoes - the leftovers are great with scrambled eggs the morning after!
This recipe was not as easy as it looked. My pork took quite a bit longer than the recipe indicated, so the potatoes were overdone. The pork also did not have much flavor.
Definatly need to marinate with the honey and balsamic for a couple hours before. Just brushing with the mixture does not give enough flavor.
The meat was excellent, but instead of brushing the meat with the dressing. I made a marinade with the dressing, honey, and garlic salt and let it marinade for a few hours. This made the meat much more moist and flavorful.
The potatoes are amazing and I have fixed them with other meat dishes. I never seem to have enough to satisfy my families appetites.
I used raspberry vinigerette instead and still turned out good. Does need to have a little bit more seasoning. The pork was bland. Potatoes were awsome.
This recipe was so simple! And the pork came out so juicy and flavorful. I used Kraft Greek Vinagrette instead of the Basil, cause it's what I had on hand. My recently vegetarian-toddler even ate it! Make sure you spray the pan really well with cooking spray though, or your potatos will stick a bit. I served it with green beans.
The pork was a bit bland but the fries where superb!
This was very good, the whole family enjoyed it.
