This is great. I didn't put the strawberrys in the middle. It think It would be great with orange jello and mandarin oranges or even Lemon jello. The frosting is so light an tasty. Very nice summer cake or anytime.

Easy as pie, I used frozen strawberries and spooned it over cake just before I served each piece...Delish!

This is the best strawberry cake ever! I added additional sliced strawberries around the bottom rim to give it more decoration. My whole family loved it and I'm planning on making it again for upcoming parties!

Very easy and SO good. I made it for my sister's birthday and the final result looked like it could be in a magazine. She loves strawberries, but couldn't stop raving about the frosting (and I almost bought frosting instead!). Will make this every chance I get.

I made this in a 9x13 baking dish as I felt it would be hard to slice & keep it together. I did not have any fresh strawberries but we liked it anyway. It was difficult to swirl but it turned out great. I did not have any uneven baking problems. Worried about the flavor of the icing - worried over nothing. This is a great dessert.

Delicious recipe!!+++ Follow others tips and either put parchment or wax paper on the bottom of your pan. Also, spoon dollops of the strawberry over the vanilla portion. Putting them side by side causes it to cook unevenly. Pull through with a fork on the strawberry part for a swirl design.

I had a friend with a birthday and made her one and also made one for my husband and me, well she was overjoyed and it looked so pretty and it was even better than regular shortcake and sooooo easy. I will be making it again.
