The cake was exceptionally good, but took me a little longer to make because my husband doesn't like sour cream, so I had to wait until he was out of the house before proceeding with the frosting! My strawberries were a bit on the tart side, so I added a little more confectionary sugar to the frosting. Other than that, everyone enjoyed it (my husband had seconds).

I made this cake for a friend on his birthday. He LOVED it and so did everybody else. :) It was very simple to make and did not take much time. The icing was great because it was not so overwhelming like frosting usually is.

This recipe was simple and it taste good. I never made cake frosting. I was kind of worried about the taste of it because I never made frosting and especially because of the sour cream. It was good.

The frosting was a little too sweet but an interesting combination. My guests thought it was very good.

Just made this for my friend's 30th b-day party. Turned out great everyone loved it! I used whipped cream topping instead of making my own. I did crush up some strawberry's with a little of the whipped cream for the center of the cake. Tasty yummy!!!

Wonderful. The icing is FANTASTIC, and I'm going to use it for several other cakes. This recipe is great for experimenting with different fruits. I'm going to try fresh peaches with peach Jello. Yum!
