The dessert itself was very good and very tasty. The only problem I had was that the sherbert was frozen more solid than the whipped cream topping. It was difficult to cut and serve a nice looking square without messing up the topping. The taste however was very refreshing!

I had the exact same problem using sugar free pudding. The pudding layer was like a brick. The sherbet layer is very tasty, though. I will give this recipe one more try-- but I plan to make much less of the pudding layer next time.

Good taste, but the texture was horrible. I used sugar free pudding mix (the only kind I ever have on hand), and the pudding layer was hard as cement. Next time, I will definitely use only ONE pudding mix box to the 2 cups milk - hope that fixes the problem. Otherwise an easy, refreshing dessert (and invites experimenting with different flavors, too).

Made this for a family get together and everyone loved it. Had requests to make it again for a family picnic and everyone there loved it too. And they all wanted me to make it again for a birthday party. So this one is a BIG HIT with my family. I made it with orange sherbet and also lime, separately. And one time I did half with orange and other half with lime sherbet. Everyone had seconds and thirds till it was all gone, which was in minutes. LOVE it. This dessert is perfect for hot summer days.

What a great recipe. Light & refreshing for summer. My kids loved it. I may experiment with raspberry sherbet next time.
