This recipe was a hit at a cookout we had. I used ground turkey and these burgers were delicious and so easy to make!

I used lean meat for the patty, and it wouldn't stick together at all, when it was nearly cooked it began to crumble. So if this recipe is good at all, don't use lean hamburger meat.

I've already made this burger several times. I've also mixed beef and turkey. The burgers have a very good flavor. I like using mayo instead of egg. The burgers are very moist and not hard to make.

THIS WAS A GOOD BURGER. IT STARTED TO FALL APART BUT I MIGHT HAD NOT LET THEM SIT THEIR LONG ENOUGH. I TOO WOULD ADD BREAD CRUMBS. I ALSO ADD THE SALSA AND CHESSES T O THE MEAT THE MAYO WAS A GOOD TOUCH. WOULD MAKE THEM AGAIN

We used 1 lb. ground turkey, 93% lean and they turned out great! I did not add the mayo and cheese. I mixed 3 tablespoons of salsa in with the burgers along with the taco seasoning instead of making 12 thin patties. I also added about 1/4 cup of bread crumbs to keep the burger together and soak up some of the salsa. When done, we melted Kraft Jalapeno Jack cheese slices on top. Superb! My husband and I loved them!

The burgers fell apart. Next time we'd use bread crumbs so they didn't. Also, we could only find crumpled blue cheese and I'm not a big fan of blue cheese. Neither of us liked the salsa with the blue cheese. Maybe if I could have found the right cheeses it would have been better.

Overall, quite good. The burgers were very moist because of the mayo, but it made it hard to shape them into patties. It's doable though. No one was expecting a southwest flavored burger, but I think they were pleased.
