Smokehouse Burgers

Smokehouse Burgers recipe
Grilling makes the onion sweet and tangy BBQ sauce gives the burgers smoky flavor. Fill the bun and prepare for the bliss of that first bite.

Few things: Don't mix the meat and bbq sauce too much, burgers won't stay together on grill. Any bbq sauce will do. I do recommend one on the sweeter side. Spread some of the italian dressing on the buns and also add some dijon mustard for a good flavor combo. Excellent taste, no additional salt needed.

Cut back a smidge on the BBQ sauce - too much and the burgers fall apart. Very moist and flavorful. We added slices of fresh avocado to the top - delish.

This is how my grandmother has always made her burgers, minus grilling the onions thing. She usually grills them medium-well so the sauce and juices all seep out! They're amazing!
