What You Need

lb. lean ground beef

pkg. (1-1/4 oz.) TACO BELL® Taco Seasoning Mix

cups water

pkg. (7-1/4 oz.) KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese Dinner

cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream

large tomato, chopped

cup shredded lettuce

cup tortilla chips, coarsely crushed

Make It

BROWN meat in large nonstick skillet on medium-high heat; drain. Add seasoning mix, water and Macaroni; mix well. Bring to boil; cover. Simmer on medium-low heat 7 min. or until macaroni is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.

ADD sour cream and Cheese Sauce Mix; mix well.

TOP with remaining ingredients.

I really didn't think I would like this (mac & cheese and taco meat didn't sound completely appetizing), but my boyfriend wanted to try it...and we loved it! Added some diced onions just before the pasta was done cooking with the beef. Super easy & quick, and VERY tasty.

I used petite diced tomatoes and drained them. I would double the recipe for a family of four.

Easy to make.to change it a bit,I have added extras such as onions, taco sauce, cilantro and black olives . Depends on how spicy you want it at that time.
