What You Need

lb. lean ground beef

pkg. (1-1/4 oz.) TACO BELL® Taco Seasoning Mix

cups water

pkg. (7-1/4 oz.) KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese Dinner

cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream

large tomato, chopped

cup shredded lettuce

cup tortilla chips, coarsely crushed

Make It

BROWN meat in large nonstick skillet on medium-high heat; drain. Add seasoning mix, water and Macaroni; mix well. Bring to boil; cover. Simmer on medium-low heat 7 min. or until macaroni is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.

ADD sour cream and Cheese Sauce Mix; mix well.

TOP with remaining ingredients.

Family loved it!! I waited to put the chips, lettuce and tomatoes till the end. I perfer salsa in mine for that little kick.

I was excited to make this because it sounded like such a good idea, but it was really nothing special. It was too bland, even after I added cayenne pepper and red chili flakes.

This was a kiddie friendly meal and an indulgent treat for me and my husband. With extra lettuce and tomato it felt more like a taco salad than a skillet dish. I have made it twice now.

This recipe exceeded my expectations by far. My in-laws stopped by and tasted it and they loved it so much they asked for the recipe and made it themselves the next night!

It was easy to make! I had different rating at my house with this recipe. My daughter and husband thought it was good, but my son and I think it was superb.
