While I didn't make this exact recipe, I have made very similar potatoes which my family LOVED! I usually quarter small to medium potatoes then microwave them in a glass bowl with a few tablespoons of water (covered with wax paper). Then I put them in the foil with seasonings (salt, pepper, thyme, garlic, onions) and put them on the grill while the meat is cooking. Yummm.

I think this recipe is misnamed, for the items are steamed not grilled, whether on an outdoor cooker or in the oven or microwave. However the recipe is great and a few minutes in the microwave makes my job easier. Also I might add that I am a vegetarian and am eager for new ideas for cooking veggies. JA

I read the comments before making these potatoes and did what wintermom9597 did by adding sliced onions and a few minced cloves of garlic over them. And also did what coelbishop did by using red potatoes diced. They were a huge hit. Thanks for the recipe and all the tips.

i do not grill these. Instead I use the ziploc zip n steam bags. They only take 7 mins for a hlaf bag in the micro and do a wonderful job. put it all in raw and after the 7 mins its DONE! LIKE MAGIC! I also did my frozen corn on cob (lime cilantro corn) in a zip n steam too and after 6 mins it was PERFECT!!!!!

Couldn't find Sun Dried Tomato Dressing (Kraft or any other brand for that matter) so I used Fat Free Zesty Italian. I halved the potatoes, added sliced onions and minced a clove of garlic over them. I had them on the grill for an hour and still had to finish them up in the microwave. But, I think they were a little large, and the grill was low, slow coals. The family LOVED the pototoes and I will make them again for sure. I'll keep searching the for the SDT dressing. because I can only imagine how delicious that must make them.
