I make this all the time. It is so versitle, you can mix it up to suite your taste. A keeper for sure...

Easy to make. I mix the mayo with sour cream and 2 teaspoon honey mustard. My family empty the bowl.

I have been making this salad for at least 20 years, it is a great do ahead. I usually use bacon instead of the ham, or sometimes just leave it out all together. Still tastes great. A real classic.

A very small red onion is all you need. I used a small to medium red onion and it was very strong!

I would put less onion and maybe add beets.

Very easy and delicious! I made it for a party and everyone asked for the recipe. I would make it the night before to let the flavors sink in.

I really like the dressing, it was different but tastey. I will cut down on the onions next time, they over powered the salad.
