What You Need

1/2

cup KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese, divided

env. (0.7 oz.) GOOD SEASONS Italian Dressing Mix

1/2

tsp. garlic powder

small boneless skinless chicken breast halves (1-1/2 lb.)

4-3/4

cups whole wheat blend rotini pasta, uncooked

jar (24 oz.) spaghetti sauce, divided

Tbsp. thinly sliced fresh basil

Make It

HEAT oven to 400°F.

MIX 1/3 cup cheese, dressing mix and garlic powder. Moisten chicken with water; coat evenly with cheese mixture. Place in single layer in shallow pan sprayed with cooking spray. Bake 20 to 25 min. or until chicken is done (165°F).

MEANWHILE, cook pasta in large saucepan as directed on package; drain and set aside. Add sauce to saucepan; cook on medium-low heat 5 to 6 min. or until heated through, stirring occasionally. Reserve 3/4 cup sauce. Add pasta to remaining sauce; mix lightly.

SPOON pasta mixture onto 6 plates; top with chicken, reserved sauce, basil and remaining cheese.

Special Extra

For a golden appearance, after chicken is cooked through set oven to Broil. Place pan of chicken 6 inches from heat source. Broil 2 to 4 min. or until chicken is golden brown.

Keeping it Safe

Place frozen chicken under cold running water to thaw. Be sure to use cold water and keep the chicken in its original wrap or place in water-tight resealable plastic bag while thawing it. Also, be careful not to cross-contaminate other food products, work surfaces or utensils with the dripping water.

This is a super easy way to make Chicken Parm. Advice: Pound out the chicken before putting coating... makes cooking time shorter. Definately dont skip on the FRESH basil!

I already rated this all over recipe, but would like to say that i used the left over chicken (i made the sauce and chicken seperatly)and made a simple chicken salad sandwich out of it, it was wonderful. I was able to have the chicken twice with out it being the same overall meal.

The fresh basil makes it extra special. The chicken would be great by itself, too.

This recipe is really good. Another good way is to chop the chicken and throw it all together. It tastes great. The chicken really has a good flavor.
