OREO & Fudge Ice Cream Cake

This player is created by Blackwell Team for testing.

Looks hard, but it's not. The secret? Ice cream sandwiches do most of the work. Delicious layers of OREO Cookies and fudge help too.

This was a hit amongst all our friends. I made it as a birthday cake and took it in the trailer when I went camping. It was amazing. I would also recommend an extra container of cool whip, because it does stick.

I used a berry cool whip that made the cake a little fruity on top of the fudge and ice cream sandwiches. Everyone loved it and it was so easy

This cake was very easy to make. I took it to a family gathering and everyone loved it! Tip: Take an extra container of Cool Whip to touch up the cake before serving. It sticks to the foil a little in the freezer.

I saw this in the Kraft Food Magazine last week and had to make it for a family cookout. It was a big hit. I made no changes to the recipe! Next time I would use a little more cool whip for the outside! YUMMY YUMMY!!! This is better than a store bought ice cream cake!

Made this dessert for a 6 person Memorial Day picnic. All the women wanted the recipe. Extremely easy and quick to make. I used the "Extra Creamy" Cool Whip which coated the sandwhich stack completely. I sprinkled the top with blue and red colored decorating sugars to add a festive patriotic touch.

Made this recipe over the weekend, it was great! It was very easy to prepare, but would suggest making sure the ice-cream sandwiches are frozen solid prior to beginning. I prepared immiediately upon returning from the grocery store and the sandwiches melted during preparation. I also used fat-free and sugar-free options with almost all ingredients and no one could tell. So it was not only delicious, but low fat, and low sugar!

Made this for a barbecue last weekend and no one could believe it was homemade and not store bought! I didn't have enough Cool Whip to spread as thick as they show in the picture, although it was still delicious it didn't look as "pretty", next time I'll buy a larger tub than the suggested 8 oz. I can't wait to make it again!

This was so wonderful! I made this over memorial day for a dinner party of 6 and it got rave reviews from everyone. Nobody could believe it was not store bought. Everyone wanted the recipe! You will not be disappointed with the results from this dessert. I agree it does take more than 10 minutes prep time the first time around but it is well worth it.

My boyfriend and I made this for my cousin's baby shower, EVERYONE loved it! He works at Coldstone and said it was better than thier cakes! We sprinkled the top with fudge then oreos and it was GREAT! Next time, we are going to try other flavors of pudding and more mixins, like sprinkles and peanut butter cups :-)
