This cake was popular at my niece's birthday party, however I was not impressed with the frosting recipe. Does anyone have suggestions to make the frosting thicker. It was too thin and gaped in between the cupcakes. No one seemed to mind, but I'd like to perfect it the way the video shows it. Thanks, elaine :)

the icing wasn't that good.. and it had gaps from the cupcakes not touching each other, was hard to assemble and decorate

What a great idea! Kids AND Parents loved this at our neighborhood halloween party last year. I'm making it again this year. Fun, easy and tasty! I (like others) just used store bought frosting and colored it myself.

This was a hit at my nephew's Kindergarden class. It was very easy and very moist cupcakes. Alittle tip save yourself the hassle and just use a can of frosting it was much easier.

Made this w/ chocolate cupcakes instead of the yellow. Added 1/4 tsp. Peppermint extract & green food coloring to a can of premade white frosting. Turned out adorable. Bought a tube of decorator icing in black, along w/ a tip and it's just too cute! I hope it's a hit at our Scouts Pack mtg tonight!

I loved how easy this was to make- and the wow factor is pretty high among the under 5 crowd! I would definitely not waste your time making frosting. I used one container of a pre-made frosting and it was great.
