Turtle Pumpkin Pie

We're taking everyone's favorite smooth, creamy holiday pie to a whole new level with drizzled caramel, chopped pecans and airy COOL WHIP. Cue the applause.

What You Need

1/4

cup plus 2 Tbsp. caramel ice cream topping, divided

HONEY MAID Graham Pie Crust (6 oz.)

1/2

cup plus 2 Tbsp. chopped PLANTERS Pecans, divided

pkg. (3.4 oz. each) JELL-O Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding

cup cold milk

cup canned pumpkin

tsp. ground cinnamon

1/2

tsp. ground nutmeg

tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed, divided

Make It

POUR 1/4 cup caramel topping onto bottom of pie crust; sprinkle with 1/2 cup nuts.

BEAT next 5 ingredients in large bowl with whisk until blended. Stir in 1-1/2 cups COOL WHIP; spoon into crust.

REFRIGERATE 1 hour. Top with remaining COOL WHIP, caramel topping and nuts just before serving.

i used sugar free caramel, sugar free, fat free pudding and fat free cool whip. even with all the substitutions it still turned out great. wow, still can't get over how well it turned out.

Altho this pie is very simple to make & looks fabulous, it is EXTREMELY rich. Even a small slice with some light ice cream on top doesn't cut it. A few bites is more than enough.

I was looking for something different than regular pumpkin pie when I found this recipe. It was very easy to make. The best part is it didn't take up any oven space. My family has requested this for every Thanksgiving to come.

I was looking for an alternative to the basic pumkin pie when I received the issue containing this recipe. While there was some resistance to change, my family LOVED this at first bite. Now they want me to make it all the time!
