I really loved the pumpkin filling. It was so creamy with a lovely pumpkin spice flavor. However, I thought that the caramel and nut layer near the crust was just too sweet for me. In the end, I would just omit that layer and just use the pumpkin layer. Then I would use Cool-Whip to make a star border around the edge of the pie and perhaps sprinkle some nuts and drizzle caramel on the coolwhip.

This recipe is AWESOME!!! I made it with fat free pudding, no sugar caramel sauce, reduced fat crust and low-fat whipped topping and nobody knew they were eating a "diet" pie! I made two pies and just split a can of pumpkin.

Somehow my other review didn't show up. I am just here to tell you to make at least two of these if you are taking them somewhere. It is great with my 3 favorite flavors all together. Caramel, pumpkin & pecans. How can you go wrong ? You can't with this recipe. Wish I could give it 10 stars !!! THANKS !!!

This is a definite do-over for Thanksgiving. It is so, SO delicious! Mind you I have never been a pumpkin pie fan but my daughter loves it so I thought I would give this recipe a try. And I was so pleased with the results! The mild pumpkin flavors meld together so wonderfully with the pecans and caramel. I made my own caramel sauce which made it that much better. Super simple, super delicious, definitely give it a try. Anyone who thought it was tasteless must of left off the cinnamon and nutmeg-try it again-you won't be sorry!!!!!

LOVE IT!!!! This is a great twist to your pumpkin pie. I will not make a normally pumpkin pie again. I make 4-5 at a time because all my friends want one too.
