The 8 hour cooking time is too long! I cooked mine for almost 4 hours and it came out nice and tender!!

This is a Wonderful Meal, especially for a working family. My kids LOVE it!! We spooned it over brown rice. It's so easy. It's a new favorite in our house!

Loved this quick and easy recipe. I made it for my brother's 50th birthday party,it was the first to go. He was upset there wasn't any left for him to take home. It was served with rice,salad and crusty bread.

This recipe was simple to pull together and very tasty! It was ready in about 3-1/2 hours on High in the slow cooker. I added a can of black beans during the last 10 minutes of cooking time to add extra substance/flavor. I served it on brown rice and with tortilla chips and sour cream.
