This is one of my favorites.. It great to make when your first married and money is hard to come by.. This really fills up the hubby's tummy.. I should know I've been married almost 23 years.. Now I have passed this along to my married 19 year old daughter.. Thanks for reminding me of this one I know what's for dinner after work tomorrow.. I have a husband and a growing 15 year old son to feed.. Thanks Kraft
The blend of flavors was great. I took the advice of others and used a smaller, sweet onion, which we all thought was perfect. I also sauteed some celery and fresh mushrooms, adding the celery to the stuffing for texture and layering the mushrooms below the soup.
I made this recipe and instead of the cheddar cheese, I used turned out GREAT! It was a real hit for the family.
We just loved this recipe! I also made some garlic toast and served the served the entire recipe right on top for a little extra zing! Thanks bunches!
Its difficult to please my husband, myself, and my daughter, but this recipe did it for us. Definitely will use even less onions then recipe calls for next time, though! In addition, I added some frozen broccoli florets on top of the sauce (under the stuffing) for an all in one dish meal with easy clean-up. Delicious!
I picked up a can of cream of potato soup instead of the mushroom, by mistake, and didn't realize it until the pan was in the oven.... My husband said this was the very "best" pork chops ever... It is definitely a "do-over" but the potatoes were an added treat.... Love your magazine & website. Dianne
I agree with less onions, it was just ok
I would make it again, but use less onions...they seemed a little overwhelming.
This was very quick to make and wonderful! My husband loved it!
