What You Need

lb. lean ground beef

RITZ Crackers, finely crushed (about 1/4 cup)

1/4

cup KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese

3/4

cup spaghetti sauce, divided

KRAFT Cheddar Cheese Cubes

hot dog buns

Make It

HEAT oven to 400ºF.

step 1

MIX meat, cracker crumbs, Parmesan and 1/4 cup spaghetti sauce. Shape into 12 balls, using about 2 Tbsp. meat mixture for each.

step 2

PLACE, 2 inches apart, in shallow pan sprayed with cooking spray. Press 1 cheese cube deeply into center of each meatball.

step 3

BAKE 14 min. or until meatballs are done (160ºF). Meanwhile, microwave remaining sauce in microwaveable bowl on HIGH 30 sec. or until heated through; spoon into buns. Fill with meatballs.

If I was going to go through the hassel (which it wasnt much of a hassel) of making meatballs, I would have them in spaghetti and not as a sandwich. They were good though. My husband and son really liked them!

I used ground turkey instead of beef and italian bread crumbs instead of crackers. My son, the pickiest eater since my brother, has asked for these 4 times since I made them 2 days ago. We had them with buttered egg noodles and green beans instead of as sandwiches. I am going to try it as a meatloaf next.

My eight year old twins, Dallas and Dalton are always wanting to help me cook. With this recipe they were able to do most of the cooking themselves with my supervision. It was fun and tasted great!

My nine year old son LOVES to "make" this. He thinks he is really doing something cool. I like the taste just as it is. My hubby who has a iron cast stomach would like it to be a little more spicy.

My daughter had so much fun making this! We made it with ground turkey and served it on sourdough hoagie rolls. We had the leftovers the next day with spaghetti! Yummy to eat and fun for the family!

Finally, a recipe that my son (7) says, "Mom, this is awesome!" He had his as a sub, and my other son (4) had his over pasta. Both really enjoyed their meal, and they had fun punching in the cheese cubes. Thank you, Kraft Foods for a great, easy recipe. We're having the leftovers tomorrow night!
