My husband, an apple pie lover, really thinks this is the best apple pie ever. Everyone else raved about it too. This is what I did- used 3 large Granny Smith apples, and 2 large Anjou pears (all very thin slices). Kept everything else the same except used 1 t. cinnamon and 1/2 t. ginger. I really liked the extra spice. I baked it for 45 minutes and then left it in the oven. When I put foil on it part way through baking I only draped the foil, did not seal it (so steam could escape). Once sliced the pie looked just like the picture (except mine was thicker)- very solid. My husband was surprised to find out the crust was store bought (the crumbles on the cream cheese mask it- and you can barely taste the cream cheese). I made maple whipped cream to go with it (using maple extract), but I prefer the pie all by itself so I can enjoy all the flavor of it!

I made this recipe for friends and family. Everyone wants the recipe! My only change was to double the crumbles. Depending on the size of your apples, you may want to increase them.

Easy, delicious. My dad never eats sweets and loves this pie. People always request I make it.

I made this pie for a neighborhood Pie Party and I won 1st Place. It was the hit of the party. I will definitely put this on my list of "favorites." The recipe is easy and quick to make.

It didn't take long to make at all and was very easy to do. I made a few substitutions (frozen pie crust and I didn't peel the fruit) and it still came out great. My husband loves it and I brought some the next day for a couple of friends and they found it great too! I'm definitely making this pie again!

I made this for my mom (who will only use her tried and true recipes) and she loved it. But the best review was from my 7 year old son who said "this is the best pie I've ever had!!" I did add more apples and pears than the recipe asked for though.

I doubled the amount of Vanilla Wafer mixture. It is super yummy!

I felt that it would benifit with a smaller amount of the cream cheese . ( about 1/3 less)
