I decided to make extra topping to add more on top and liked that better.

This was a very easy, tasty pie that I was able to throw together on a weeknight! I had to subtitute gingerbread flavored graham crackers for the Nilla Wafer and added a tsp. of vannilla to the apple/pear mixture and it turned out great. It set up nicely and was just as good cool the next day.

make sure the pears are very ripe. Mine could have used some time in a brown paper bag to ripen but I didn't plan ahead enough.

I found myself with too many apples and a couple of pears so made this recipe. I normally make my own crust but used "stoprebought" and it was still great. I used 3 red rome apples instead of 2 and one quite large pear. The cream creese was a nice addition. I did add at least 1/2 teaspoon of freshly grated nutmeg to fruit and next time will increase the cinnimon to 1 tsp. I did bake it for 55 min as there was a lot of fruit. My pie firmed up nicely as it cooled and held its shape while still warm. A big plus. I plan to make several more and freeze them to use up all those extra apples!!!

I tried this two weeks ago. Just made it again! Love to cook but not much of a pie maker. So simple. So good! We used 2 granny smith and 1 red delicious and cut the cream cheese to half of what was called for. This has been added to our favorites! YUM!!!!

I made two of these pies for a church supper and it was gone quickly! Had a lot of requests for the recipe. The addition of pear was great this time of year!

We loved this recipe. The cream cheese in it was deliciously different. Served hot with whipped cream it makes a wonderful dessert for family and friends.
