What You Need

NILLA Wafers, crushed (about 3/4 cup)

1/4

cup packed brown sugar

1/4

cup butter, melted

ready-to-use refrigerated pie crust (1/2 of 14.1-oz. pkg.)

oz. (1/2 of 8-oz. pkg.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

large baking apples, peeled, sliced

large fresh pear, peeled, sliced

1/3

cup granulated sugar

1/4

cup flour

1/2

tsp. ground cinnamon

1-1/4

cups thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping

Enjoy serving MAXWELL HOUSE coffee with this delicious recipe.

Make It

HEAT oven to 375ºF.

MIX wafer crumbs, brown sugar and butter until well blended; set aside.

PLACE pie crust in 9-inch pie plate sprayed with cooking spray. Spread cream cheese carefully onto bottom of crust; sprinkle with half the crumb mixture. Combine fruit in large bowl. Add granulated sugar, flour and cinnamon; toss to coat. Spoon over crumb layer in crust; sprinkle with remaining crumb mixture.

BAKE 35 min. or until fruit is tender and crust is lightly browned, covering loosely with foil after 25 min. if necessary to prevent crust from overbrowning. Cool. Serve topped with COOL WHIP.

Absolutely heaven. Made this tonight and it was such a hit with my family. The flavors of the apple and pear along with the Nilla Wafer crumb mixture was so good. This is definitely going to be a dessert at this year's Thanksgiving!

I made my own pie shell and doubled the recipe since I like a thicker pie. It turned out totally delicious and would definitely would make it again. It would be great with just apples too. I really liked the vanilla wafer crumb topping. That gave it a great taste.

I was a little skeptical at first: cream chese in a fruit pie? However, I was pleasently surprised. The flavor combinations was amazing. This pie was so good I ran out. I would definitly make this again.

The ingredient lists the 1/4 cup flour to be divided... this is an error. In the "food and family" publication, this recipe is correct.

was going to make pie until I realized directions were not complete. What does a person do with 1/4 cup flour, DIVIDED. Directions do not say how to use divided flour.

Very yummy. Very good served warm with either ice cream or whipped cream. Crumb topping is delightful, and the cream cheese layer is unexpected in a pie. Will definately make again!
