Bacon, Cheese & Potato Chowder

I find this soup to be hearty, delicious and EASY! I always make a double batch though because my family loves it.

I mad this recipe tonight and added a few of my own little things to it and wow it was great. Used small red potatoes added parmesan cheese, added light cream and more bacon and onion and it came out great.

This soup is wonderful! I have made it numerous times. It's so much easier than peeling potatoes and doing it the hard way.

We love this recipe! I add chopped celery, chives and small pieces of turkey bacon, as well as extra hash browns for an extra chunky soup. A little ground pepper and it's a hit!

My husband loves this soup! Even my picky younger sister eats it! And it's so versatile, you can experiment making it different ways!

My kids love this. I can't keep the potato soup in my house for more than a day.

Seemed a little salty to me, but was still good. The family liked it, even my picky 10-year old ate it.

As suggested I only used 2 cups of milk and added half a can on cream of cheedar and loved it. I also seasoned with kosher salt and lots of fresh ground pepper. My family was very pleased.

Adding all the milk suggested will make it too "soupy". But if you cut back on the milk it's quite good. Also, I found the potatoes are softer if you cook them for about 5 minutes in the microwave first. This is great fast meal for weeknight dinners.

This is a little runny if you add all the milk. I usually add 1/2 can cheddar cheese soup and 1-2 cups milk to make it creamier. You will also need to add lots of salt and pepper for flavor. I made this with hot turkey and cheese sandwiches when I had a movie night with friends and it has a big hit! This is a great recipe, but you have to tweak it a little bit!
