This is a little runny if you add all the milk. I usually add 1/2 can cheddar cheese soup and 1-2 cups milk to make it creamier. You will also need to add lots of salt and pepper for flavor. I made this with hot turkey and cheese sandwiches when I had a movie night with friends and it has a big hit! This is a great recipe, but you have to tweak it a little bit!

Very easy. I added corn kernels for another texture. If you are making it for kids I would use plain hashbrowns and add your own s&P. The Southwest one I used was super spicy. My daughter couldn't eat it.

Very easy to make and my whole family, kids included, love it! I do add a can of corn to the chowder to add some weight to it, as the milk makes it more soupy than chowder like. But hey, that's one more vegetable to mix!

This was AWESOME! I used 4 diced potatoes instead of the frozen hashbrowns, and also threw in some cooked bacon in the begining. I added some celery and shredded carrots, then blended about half of the soup at the end to make it creamier. I will definitely double the recipe next time, it was wonderful!

I love this recipe! I've made several potato soup recipes and this is by far the simplest I've found! Quick, flavorful and hearty... enjoy!
