Delicious, but I sauteed onions and garlic in a bit of the leftover bacon drippings. It was a little bland until I added some salt, pepper and garlic powder. But nonetheless the soup was delicious, I would definately make it again and again.
Wonderful! I added a little dried onion and used real bacon bits instead of cooking the bacon. I also thickened the soup with a little cornstarch. Was just great and I can't wait until the weather turns cooler or even rains to enjoy this comfort food.
Very easy to make, but this was just ok. not much flavor, or thick enough for my taste.
I thought this was a great, easy recipe. I was amazed at how good it was. It is so simple! I did add 4 oz. of french onion dip for more flavor. Very easy!
I thought this soup was wonderful! Its very easy to make and also very tasty. It was kind of bland so i added alittle salt and pepper and i thought it was amazing. My guest were shocked to find out that i had made it! I will be using this over and over again!
I made this using frozen shredded hashbrowns with onions and peppers to give it more flavor as it sounded a little bland. Also I used real bacon bits so I didn't have to cook bacon for this recipe. It was good, but needs some tweaking. I personally added hotsauce to it, but next time will be adding a cajun seasoning to it to boost the flavor, because it still is a bit bland for us. But it has given me some great ideas to use as a recipe base.
This was very good. Although it was a little bland, I added some Mrs. Dash so it didn't add any salt.
