I pureed the soup till smooth. My daughter said it was almost as good as the one she had at Disney World. I added more garlic and bacon to the soup.

I've made this 25+ times...we love it. I even call friends & family over when i make it or they get upset!!! I do add a can of cream of onion with it. And sometimes celery & onions. This replaces my time consuming old potato soup recipe. Gotta give it a try, its cheap, easy, and fast to make =)

Instead of bacon I make it with ~1 cup of diced ham. I always have to double the recipe. My kids love this - it's their favortite soup! I love it too, and it's a much easier version than from scratch.

I add some more of the hasbrowns to make it thicker. It is a good meal for a rush supper.

My family loved this. It was so easy and yummy! I doubled the bacon and added it, the onion and cheese to the soup as it cooked. Great for a weeknight dinner.

We added a little bit of Tobasco sauce, pepper, and plenty of cheese to spice up the flavor. It helped to give it a little kick instead of it being so bland.
