This was excellent.! Those who said there was no flavor must have used regular hashbrowns instead of the southwest. I used simply potatoes.

This recipe is very bland, no favor and it never thickened up. Potato soup should be thick not thin.I was very disappointed. The recipe should have called for some spices. I wouldn't make this again , it was a waste of time.

I forgot to mention on my last posting that I used Oscar Meyer ready to serve bacon instead of frying fresh bacon. I microwaved it till crispy and then broke it up into pieces, adding it to the heating soup. It was way easier then making a huge mess by frying bacon.

My kids LOVE it and normally they do not like to eat things like this. I would suggest to double the recipe if you want to make it as a dinner meal. We served exactly six and those who wanted seconds were out of luck.

This recipe was easy to make and tasted very good, but I had to add salt and pepper to make it taste better.

This was very bland. I added salt, pepper, and about a half cup of shredded cheddar. I let it simmer longer and it thickened up nicely. As good or better than most restaurant versions.

The recipe was good for a quick meal, but I was surprised to see that it didn't call for seasoning. It was very bland on it's own. I added a few sprinkles of grill seasoning and a dash of hot sauce and that helped quite a bit. It is also a great alternative to a typical potato soup recipe made with heavy cream and butter.

Very filling and tasty! My husband who has very high standards for food exclaimed "fantastic! this is so good!" when he tasted it. That was a first.

We loved this soup! Quick, easy and very filling. I used extra sharp cheddar cheese and added 1/2 the chopped green onions while simmering soup and milk mixture. Much easier than peeling potatoes and great for last minute.
