My mother and my husband loved this cake. Everytime he sees me get coconut out he asks if I am making "him" another cake.

this was a great cake. the flavors were not too tart but not too sweet. i would call it a nice change of pace and a great contrast to the heavy desserts that are abundant this time of year. i am taking it to our families x-mas get together.

This cake is easy to make, and has a nice, light taste - not overly sweet. I would serve this to company as well as family. I used a "butter recipe" cake mix with a stick of real butter for the cake. Next time I might try adding more coconut.

Made for a church dinner and didn't bring any home with me. Everyone loved it. Easy to make but I used almond slivers instead of pecans. Will make again.

Very good dessert! However I made a slight adjustment to keep the cake from being soggy. I mixed the pineapples in with the pudding and then folded the cool-whip into that mixture. Very generously layered that on top of the cake along with the nuts and coconut. Yummy!
