Luscious Tropical Dream Cake

What You Need

can (20 oz.) DOLE Crushed Pineapple in Juice, undrained

pkg. (2-layer size) yellow cake mix

pkg. (3.4 oz.) JELL-O Lemon Flavor Instant Pudding

1-1/2

cups cold milk

cups thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping

1/2

cup BAKER'S ANGEL FLAKE Coconut, toasted

1/2

cup chopped PLANTERS Pecans

Make It

HEAT oven to 350ºF.

DRAIN pineapple, reserving 1 cup juice. Prepare cake batter as directed on package, substituting reserved juice for 1 cup of the water. Pour into greased 15x10x1-inch pan.

BAKE 15 to 18 min. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely.

BEAT pudding mix and milk with whisk 2 min. Stir in pineapple. Spread over cake; cover with COOL WHIP. Top with coconut and nuts. Keep refrigerated.

It was very gooey and soggy. The cake part tasted good, but that was about it.

I was hesitant since I don't really like crushed pineapple, but I wanted to make something special for my dad's birthday. It came out so fluffy and moist, the topping wasn't overpowering which I thought it would be. I didn't add the pecans or coconut, it was delicious.

Extremely easy and just as delicious. Can make so many combinations with this (strawberry, blueberry, banana etc)

Very moist and delicious,my mom made it before I could,she even made it for a womens get-to-gather,and had RAVE reviews.We love Kraft recipes.

I made it with out pecans only b/c some co workers could not have them.. They all loved it wanted the recipe

I made this cake for a church fellowship and it was a big hit! It was light and very moist - I loved the taste. I will definitely make it again.

My family really liked this recipe however I omitted the nuts. The next time -- and I will definitely make it again -- I would bake in my 9x13 cake pan. The 15x10x1 pan didn't allow enough room for the cake and it ended up overflowing in my oven.
