I made this dish for a sports banquet at school.Everyone loved it!
How can you go wrong - it's chocolate and peanut butter. Next time I think I'll make it as cupcakes.
Very easy to make. If you love peanut butter and chocolate, this is great.
I fixed this cake over the holidays and it was a big hit. Everyone went on how good it was. I will definitely be making this cake again.
Overall this was a good cake. The top layer turned out hard and impossible to spread, despite following the directions. I will probably make this again, but without the top layer. The middle layer works well as a frosting anyway!
I made this cake for the holidays and everyone loved it. I eliminated the 6 squares of Chocolate & 2 cups of regular Cool Whip. I replaced that step with 2 cups of Chocolate Cool Whip. I used the remaining two kinds of Cool whip toppings for other recipes.
This cake was delicious except, I had a problem with the top layer. I followed the directions exactly, but the chocolate and cool whip turned hard and was very bitter. Instead, I used a package of sugar-free chocolate pudding made with 1-1/4 cup milk, mixed and then folded in the 2 cups of cool whip. I took this to a dinner and everyone thought it was delicious and wanted the recipe. I will definitely make this again, but not with the topping on the recipe.
This cake is SOOOOO good!!. The peanut butter layer is just right - not too heavy yet rich and creamy. I made it as a layer cake - two rounds of the devil's food cake, the peanut butter layer in between and the chocolate frosting on top. The kids loved it, too. This will definitely go in my personal recipe book.
This one deserves five stars! Grandkids were the biggest fans.
This was a pretty simple dessert to make and really good if you like chocolate and peanut butter. I dressed it up with a dribble of chocolate syrup.
