Love this so good! I read that some found it to be bitter b/c its semi sweet, i added about a tablespoon of sugar to the cream cheese mix. (not sure the amount i eyeballed it) let it firm up in the fridge about 2 hrs. Then i took a teaspoon (the one you get with your silverware)then roll them in your palms like swedish meatballs. It wasnt sticky at all. I used a round toothpick to dip them in the melted chocolate which i also added some sugar to again i just eyeballed it. And them came out wonderful!!

They were a big hit at a Christmas celebration.

This is a winner! The store was out of semisweet chocolate squares, so I used semisweet chocolate chips. I used 1 1/3 cups of chips for 8 squares. The kids and I made a grand mess (I learned to put waxed paper down on the counter), but we had fun, and we all thought they were delicious! It was fun to come up with different toppings, too.

Does anyone know if these need to stay in the fridge? I gave these away as a gift, and I'm hoping they are okay at room temp. Thanks!

I never expected these to be as good as they were, they seemed too simple. I was going to make them just for fun, because they were simple enough for my kids to help me make, but so far everyone who has tried them has raved about them

Limited ingredients that turn out a great dessert.

Does not firm up well, the centers begin to melt when dipping in the chocolate. The flavor was not what one would expect from a truffle.

I felt as though it needed more cram cheese or another ingredient. There was no way I could possibly get 36 truffles out of this! I made 25 and they were not big at all. After shaping, I put them back in the fridge to firm up again as they quickly became soft from the handling. Also, the amount of chocolate called for is too much. Overall, it is a good recpie that is easy to make and open to many variations.
