You DEFINITELY want to follow directions & make the balls very small! We added our toppings all around the balls, then dipped & added the toppings again also. Try crushed oreos, crushed peanut butter cups (our fave), crushed toffee bars!

At first I was so upset - recipe should have included to secret to shaping them into balls. I ended up using a center cutter from donut cutting and made flat rounds that I then rolled. Very messing and time consuming. Tasted great - just too much work for me.

These truffles are amazing and easy to make. I made these for a bunch of teachers and it was just what we needed.

They were very tasty, but a little difficult to roll into balls. I will take some of the others advice and chill them again before dipping, too. They were a little sticky. They are very good, though. I plan to give as gifts at Christmas!

Elegant and delicious. When making them chill the candy "dough" before making into balls. Place on waxpaper on a cookie sheet and melt your chocolate to dip. Instead of a fork I poked one toothpick in the top and dipped and used a spatula to cover the top. Then transfer to the wax paper by sliding off the toothpick with the spatula. You can fill in the little hole with the chocolate on the spatula as well as make a quick little swirl. I also added cherry flavor to one batch that was very tasty. Dont recommend decorating the top with piping gel. Too messy to store them - stick with candy cane, nuts, sprinkles, etc

This was so easy and so inexpensive to make!! Everyone loved them and were really impressed that I made TRUFFLES! I put several in clear little bags and used them at place settings for a holiday dinner.

These were not as simple as they should have been. It took a while to shape them into balls. I used chocolate chips instead of squares, and it was so thick I had to add butter and milk to make it thin enough for dipping. They turned out OK and taste great and rich, but I won't spend three hours making them again.
