WOW-WEEEEEEE! These were the yummiest truffles I've made yet! I can't believe it needed only 2 ingredients. They were very easy and I had no trouble rolling them into balls like others did. However, I did put them in the freezer for about 20 minutes, and every time I felt them getting troublesome, I returned them to the freezer for a few minutes before I'd work with them again. Also, I rolled them all in balls and left them in the fridge until I was ready to powder, sprinkle, or dip them. They looked even better than the picture! I was SO excited. And they tasted just as great. I also added Oreos to half the batch and those were a great hit, and a lot easier to handle too. Overall, great recipe, I'm definitely going to make these again, and again, and again! p.s. thank you for the posting on using baggies as gloves. This helped when I was handling the dipped balls and avoiding fingerprints!

I made these for a Christmas party and they were a hit!!! Very yummy and very simple to make. I always thought truffles were hard to make but this recipe made them very easy to make. One word of advise though, make them small!! These truffles are super rich!!!
very good recipe!! i do recommend that after u roll them into balls, put them back in the refrigerator for at least another hour so that they wont melt when u dip them in chocolate :)

Has anyone tried these using the lowfat cream cheese? I can cheat a little on our diet by using very dark chocolate but wondered if the lower fat cheese would affect how they turn out!
My Grandson was about 7 when his teacher asked about a family tradition. He wrote about his Aunt's crab dip. He is now 17 and one weekend we deboned and cooked one of the 3 deer he shot this season. The next weekend I talked him into making the truffle recipe. We had so much fun. We mixed, refrigerated, slept, rolled, refrigerated, dipped, refrigerated, drizzled and enjoyed in that order. A new tradition and great memory which we will be sure to repeat.
DELICIOUS! I made them for a Christmas party and everyone loved them and requested the recipe. When I went to the store there was only one box of chocolate available so I subsituted the chocolate dip with the bakers dipping chocolate. As everyone else said, I left the cream cheese and chocolate mix in the refrigerator a couple of hours longer than was is instructed in the recipe and it made it less difficulte to roll!Pleasant treat!
Everyone liked them! Some suggested putting peanut butter in them next though, and I think that's a great idea.
This was easy to make and tasted great. It is important to make sure the mixture is very cold. I increased the chill time to 4 hours and had no trouble rolling into balls.
