I loved these cookies, they were so easy and pretty. If I can do it anyone can!

I love the look of the cookie and the taste I would definitely do this again

The first batch came out looking like a walrus! But I tried them again, this time baking them for 7 mins. taking them out, re-shaping them right on the baking sheets (with two knives) into candy canes. I then baked them 3 mins. more. They came out fine. I found if I put a miniscule amount of flour in the palm of my hands, they were easier to shape. For added flavor, I drizzled melted Baker's semi-sweet choc. over the cookie, then drizzled on the white choc. and topped them with the peppermint candy. I took them to a cookie exchange and was asked for 23 copies of the recipes, explaining the method I used. They were the hit of the party!

Even though the cookies turned out pretty good, I would not make them again. I made them for a cookie party and I feel a bit silly handing out a recipe that I would not make myself again. This recipe is a lot of work! Granted, I made a double batch which made it more difficult combing all the ingredients and I had no help, but it took me 3.5 hours to complete the first part of the cookies and another hour or so to do the icing & candy-cane topping. The prep time given is ridiculous! It should also say in the written instructions about microwaving the white chocolate in a plastic bag - I found out the hard way. I also used a Kitchen Aid mixer, which may have been harder than using a hand mixer.

New Recipe works, Key is to start with room temp cream cheese and butter then place dough in fridge for 30 minutes before forming. I would eliminate the crushed candy and add peppermint flavouring to the white chocolate instead.

These cookies are a nice addition to a holiday tray. The colors stand out, and the candy canes are easy to pick up.

Even though my cookies turned out great in the end, I would never make them again nor would I ever give this recipe to a friend. I followed the recipe exactly and the dough was not stiff and very hard to work with. No amount of refrigeration would help stiffen it up, so I was stuck with round shaped cookies because the candy canes were near to impossible with the texture of the dough. I have never had such a hard time with any other baking experience.

Wow! These are like individual size brownies with a peppermint kick. They melt in your mouth. It was hard making them small. I make larger size candy cane cookies. Adds great variety to any Christmas cookie exchange!!

They aren't the best flavor because they are somewhat bland, but they are just so cute and easy that I'll probably make them again. My husband enjoys these types of doughy chocolate cookies, so maybe some people just like those blander styles :-) The icing and peppermint just make them so festive!

These cookies were very bland and do no hold up to cookie standards. They are not tasteful and are just...yuck.
