We used the Andes chips that already had the mint flavoring in the chocolate. Big hit!

it was really hard to leave these yummy cookies to harden. they are very good. i think next time i won't use so much peppermint candy canes on top. its a little to much mint i think, but other wise an AWESOME cookie.

Just made these for a cookie exchange at church for tomorrow night. They turned out great!! I substituted half milk chocolate chips and half semi sweet chips instead of baker's chocolate. I also put a little Crisco in the chocolate to make it smooth and it gave it a great glaze. I used my twirly chocolate dipper and had no problem with a mess. I also crushed the peppermint and used a spoon to garnish. They looked just like the picture in the magazine. I can't wait to share with my friends tomorrow!!

There was only one review when I printed this recipe. Shoulda come back and looked again. Tweezers would definitely helped. I ended up holding the cracker in one hand and spreading the chocolate on with a knife. These are very messy, and definitely took longer than 20 min. to make. The candy cane stuck to my hands also. Will try the Andes next time. They taste great though.

These are delicious and easy. I used a small spatula to wipe off the excess chocolate. I will definitely make them again!

What a great, simple, tasty treat! I don't love peppermint so I omitted the extract and they tasted sooooo good. I didn't think of tweezers so I used a wooden skewer, poked it through the middle whole in the cracker and swirled it around. Worked fine once I got the hang of it. Also, I wanted to use up the little bit of melted chocolate so I dipped marshmallows in it and then sprinkled with christmas colored sprinkles..they were a big hit too!

I made these to bring to an ornmanet swap party and work. They were the hit of the day. Everyone is talking about them. I could not believe how easy they were to make. Instead of a candy cane, I used Andes crushed peppermint in a bag from the baking aisle. They were wonderful. Now I have another easy BIG HIT for the holidays!!!!
