Slow-Cooker Orange-BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches

Slow-Cooker Orange-BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches recipe
Juice from an orange adds a sweet tang to long-simmering pulled pork, just right to pile on soft bread. This will raise the bar in your BBQ—no grill required.

This was very easy and very good. I could not find shoulder so I used a boston butt roast instead. I cooked it in the oven in a roasting pan by itsself for 8 hours, Then I shredded it and put it in my crock pot, with the bottle of bbq sauce and a half cup of orange juice and turned it on low for the rest of the day. I tasted it and it was really good but it needed just a little kick so, I poured a bunch of Mr. Dash southwest chipotle seasoning in it. That gave it the perfect kick! I served this for the super bowl and everyone loved it! Even the kids!! I don't think I will ever buy premade bbq again!!!

This is definitely a matter of taste. The meat was tender as it should be in slow cooker, however for our family the sauce was not that great. I chose not to place all the meat back in cooker to evenly coat, Thank goodness or they would not have eaten it at all.

This recipe is out of this world. I bought the pork from a local butcher. I also didnt have any oranges so I added a splash of OJ instead. When it was done cooking the meat was so tender it just fell off the fork!

I made this for dinner yesterday. It was a big hit with everyone. I used homemade bbq sauce and 3 oranges instead of just one.

My husband gave it two thumbs up. The mayo was a great idea. May add the orange peel as suggested next time. Other than that, it had excellent texture and flavor, I've never made anything that tasted that good using pork shoulder!

This was soooo good. My DH and DS just loved it. I added salt, pepper, and garlic to the meat before adding the orange juice (used 3 oranges) and a tangy/sweet bbq sauce. Also added thick onion slices from a medium onion. I will definitely be making this recipe again - very easy and made the house smell wonderful all day.
