Slow-Cooker Orange-BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches

Slow-Cooker Orange-BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches recipe
Juice from an orange adds a sweet tang to long-simmering pulled pork, just right to pile on soft bread. This will raise the bar in your BBQ—no grill required.

Actually I made a lot of changes to the recipe, I wanted to make sure the orange flavor came through so I put a full 8 oz glass of orange juice in the meet and let it cook on low for 2 hours, then I removed 2/3 of the juice and added 1 and 1/2 cups of apple butter and about 2 oz of honey,2 tablespoons of brown sugar and let it cook for another hour before adding a full bottle of Kraft Honey BBQ sauce and let it cook another 4-5 hours in the crock pot, stirring occasionally. very sweet and tangy
Ooops - forgot to add: if you can't find boneless pork shoulder in your grocery store, head to your local butcher. This cut of meat is a must for pulled pork - and it's super cheap!
Yummy!!! Made this last night and it was great! I did not have a pork roast but did have boneless pork chops, worked just as well. I also seasoned the pork with pepper and garlic to add a little something special.
This was such an easy recipe and the results were fantastic!! My 15 year old son is somewhat of a picky eater, and he loved it. My husband raved about it and said I could make it again! I added some pepper and garlic salt to the sauce for an extra kick. Very good!!
This was an awesome recipe. Our 9 year old who is very "picky" just gobbled it right up. I did add approximately 1/4 to 1/2 cup of Brown Sugar to recipe while cooking and it seemed to give the pork a nice flavor. Very easy and very good. My husband and boys raved about how good it was and how good it smelled while cooking. It will definitely be used again in this household.
Although the pork was tender, the taste was severely lacking. In fact, my family thought it tasted like some type of orange cleaner.
Didn't get very much "orange" flavor but the meat tasted good and was very tender.
