What You Need

can (14-1/2 oz.) fat-free reduced-sodium chicken broth

cup water

pkg. (9 oz. each) refrigerated cheese tortellini

oz. (1/2 of 8-oz. pkg.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, cubed

cup frozen peas

3/4

cup KRAFT Finely Shredded Italian* Five Cheese Blend

slices OSCAR MAYER Bacon, cooked, crumbled

Make It

BRING broth and water to boil in large saucepan on medium-high heat. Add pasta; stir. Cover; simmer on medium-low heat 8 to 9 min. or until pasta is tender. (Do not drain.)

STIR in cream cheese and peas; cook, uncovered, 2 to 3 min. or until cream cheese is completely melted, stirring occasionally.

STIR in shredded cheese and bacon.

Prepare using PHILADELPHIA Neufchatel Cheese.

Variation

Substitute 4 cups firmly packed fresh baby spinach leaves for the peas, and stir in 1/4 cup drained oil-packed sun-dried tomatoes with the shredded cheese.

How to Warm the Pasta Serving Bowl

Few things lose heat faster than hot cooked pasta served in a cold bowl. To help keep cooked pasta hot, preheat the serving bowl by pouring hot water into the empty bowl and letting it stand for a minute to warm up. Drain water and fill with cooked pasta just before serving.

It was easy enough but not that tasty. I added in some garlic powder when it was done. I did use the sundried tomatoes in oil as someone suggested. That was good! The garlic powder did make it tastier and next time I will try some red pepper flakes I think! I used tri colored pasta and it was very pretty! Overall, quick and easy! Just needs some flavors added in. I think broccoli would work well also!

Not too bad but I don't think I would make again. It wasn't that tasty.

It was tasty...I added in diced chicken and frozen veggies. It was too soupy for me by following the directions so I mixed in a little flour mixed with water and cooked it for a little while longer and then it was the perfect consistency! I'd also recommend adding in a few spices to give it a little more flavor.

My motto is "I never met a recipe I did not change"! This is no exception. This is a GREAT recipe. To make it a more complete meal, I added the following ingredients: 1# chicken tenders diced & browned, 10 oz. peas and carrots, 8 oz. Neufchtel creme cheese,and 2 c. Italian Blend cheese. It made enough for 4 generous servings, and lunches!
