Easy Slow-Cooker Beef Stew

What You Need

cup fat-free reduced-sodium beef broth

1/4

cup KRAFT Italian Vinaigrette Dressing made with Extra Virgin Olive Oil

1/4

cup KRAFT Original Barbecue Sauce

tsp. dried oregano leaves

lb. beef stew meat, cut into 1-1/4-inch cubes

lb. small red potatoes (about 8), cut into bite-size pieces

large carrots, cut into 1-inch-thick slices

large onion, cut into bite-size pieces

slices OSCAR MAYER Bacon, chopped

Tbsp. flour

Make It

MIX first 4 ingredients in slow cooker. Add all remaining ingredients except flour and water; toss to coat. Cover with lid. Cook on LOW 8 to 9 hours (or on HIGH 4 to 5 hours).

TRANSFER meat and vegetables to serving bowl with slotted spoon; cover to keep warm.

MIX flour and water until well blended. Whisk into juices in slow cooker; cover. Cook on HIGH 15 min. or until sauce is slightly thickened; spoon over meat and vegetables.

This is a great slow cooker recipe. I would have never thought of adding BBQ sauce to a stew mix. It really gave it a big kick.

Fantastic and soooo easy! Put it all in the crockpot and go about your housework. Three hours later you have a great meal ready!

Overall the flavor was very good, but if you serve it with buns or eat it plain it just does not have enough liquid.

I don't like BBQ sauce in my beef stew. I thought it might not be a strong flavor but it was.

I made this for dinner this evening. It was very tasty and everyone enjoyed it. I really liked the flavor of BBQ sauce in the stew. It was also a very simple recipe and took no time to throw together. We will definitely have this again.
