Easy Slow-Cooker Beef Stew

What You Need

cup fat-free reduced-sodium beef broth

1/4

cup KRAFT Italian Vinaigrette Dressing made with Extra Virgin Olive Oil

1/4

cup KRAFT Original Barbecue Sauce

tsp. dried oregano leaves

lb. beef stew meat, cut into 1-1/4-inch cubes

lb. small red potatoes (about 8), cut into bite-size pieces

large carrots, cut into 1-inch-thick slices

large onion, cut into bite-size pieces

slices OSCAR MAYER Bacon, chopped

Tbsp. flour

1/4

cup water

Make It

MIX first 4 ingredients in slow cooker. Add all remaining ingredients except flour and water; toss to coat. Cover with lid. Cook on LOW 8 to 9 hours (or on HIGH 4 to 5 hours).

TRANSFER meat and vegetables to serving bowl with slotted spoon; cover to keep warm.

MIX flour and water until well blended. Whisk into juices in slow cooker; cover. Cook on HIGH 15 min. or until sauce is slightly thickened; spoon over meat and vegetables.

This does not taste like beef stew. Terrible!

One morning I tried to make this but I forgot to print out the directions. The web site was down so I had to go by memory (scary)! It was great! I forgot the water and flour and did 1/2 cup of the sauces and oregano and my husband loved it!!!!! I'm not a big stew person but it was great!

Day 3 of 1 bag 5 meals and I was truly let down by this recipe..It was almost as if it was missing something..and/or the Italian dressing over powered the taste. I will make my own recipe of beef stew next time..hey you can't win them all :)

LOVE IT! This has become my husband and my favorite cold day meal. I like the flavors of the Italian dressing and barbecue sauce, it think it gives it that extra 'umpf'. I do make one small change by removing the bacon and replacing it with about 1 cup of frozen peas to give it some added color.
