This recipe was very easy to put together and tastes great. I normally make a very bland shepherd's pie because that's what my kids prefer. I decided to spice things up a bit and try something new. I used less ground beef and veggies than what the recipe calls for because I used an 8 inch pan. There was still plenty for four of us with leftovers. My picky kids weren't crazy about the cheese but I loved it. I'll definitely make this again.

My husband is picky and I always wanted to make Shepherd's pie since I heard so much about it. Since it had all the ingredients he likes I decided to try it. He actually enjoyed it and I will be making it again. I think I would add some sour cream to the potatoes to make them creamier.

I used ready prepared mashed potatoes, added the cream cheese and cheese. WHAT A FLAVOR BOOST! I also did not use the regular frozen mixed vegetables. I used several vegetable blends (tomatoes, okra, peppers, onions, and celery; corn, red and green peppers; and peas and carrots; onions, celery, and peppers). I know it sounds like a lot of onions...but it really wasn't. I just hate the green beans and lima beans in the regular mixed vegetables. There are so many new blends out there, I just picked a few and threw them together. This recipe made quite a bit. I was able to package and freeze 1/2 of it for a later date. It was a nice, warm meal, on a very cold night.

We really enjoyed this, but instead of using BEEF GRAVY, next time I will add flour to the beef, let it cook for a little bit and then add Beef Broth and let it thicken. I didn't like the jarred gravy. The mashed potatoes were GREAT though with the cream cheese and garlic!! I think I'll always make them like that now!

Made this last night for dinner. My husband and I "fought" over who would get to eat the leftovers for lunch (I won!). My only note is that if using instant potatoes, you'll probably have to add at least some milk.

I added a can of cream of mushroom soup, a quarter teaspoon each of salt, pepper and garlic powder and a half teaspoon of worcestershire sauce to the meat and vegetable mixture. It really livened up the flavor.

This recipe was easy and very delicious! I topped it off with french fried onions in the last 5 min. of baking and it was awesome!

This was fantastic. I had always wanted to try this pie and when I recieved my Kraft magazine this was the first recipe I tried. It was simple to make and had great flavor. I made a mistake and put the garlic in with the meat instead of the potatoes, however it still turned out delicious!

Next time, I will go for fresh vegetables. Sure, the frozen ones are faster, but I find that the green beans included have a less than desirable texture. I substituted ground turkey with good results, although make sure you only use the 1 lb of meat requested. Turkey comes in larger packages a lot of the time, so I had to use an entire jar of gravy, rather than the 1 cup. I would be careful on the garlic though. Normally, I love the stuff, but the 2 normal sized cloves I used were quite overpowering. Perhaps it was just my garlic, though.

I made this for my family a couple of days ago. Everybody loved it. My 10 year-old grandson didn't even complain about the vegetables, and asked if I would make it again. Of course I will. It was quick and easy and got rave reviews!
