I made the recipe with ground beef. The next time I make it I would use some kind of beef roast.

The potatoes are good with the cheddar and cream cheese. I boiled the garlic with them and mashed them together. The filling- not so hot, very bland. It needs something spicy for some pizzazz. It was better the second day, not so much the first.

My mother made this when I was a kid. My kids love it, and now feed it to their kids. Sometimes I just use regular mashed potatoes and no gravy...Put the meat/vegetable mixture on top of the potatoes on your plate.

My family and I love this recipe, my husband in particular. I added as vegetables green pepper, corn and carrots, and used both garlic and savory in the meat portion. It was delicious!

My husband LOVED this! He said it was the best meal he ever ate!-and we've been to France! My kids liked it too, and they're fairly finicky. I made my own pie crust in a very deep round dish. I also added about 1/2 cup chopped inion in with the cooking hamburger. My potatoes were truly mashed Leftovers-which i think makes a difference. I am somewhat skeptical of rave Kraft reviews, but this really is good.

This is delicious, but I make it without any cheese. I also add a can of tomatoes to the meat mixture and top it all off with beef gravy after it bakes. Yum!

My picky 8 year old loved it. My particular meat and potatoes hubby loved it. I loved it! BUT I made it with ground turkey instead of ground beef. Still used the beef gravy. And I used the frozen potatoes that you microwave and then mash yourself. YUM and EASY. This is definately a new family favorite!
